Fundraise in a Group

You are an advocate for orphans and are a part of a student organization, church group, or community group, but you don’t know how to get more involved with KKOOM? We invite you to learn how to be our supporter and friend; together, let’s make a difference!

Bake Sale

HOST A BAKE SALE

Sell items, such as cookies, brownies, or cupcakes at a cheaper cost of $1-2 and you may have generous people giving you $5. Make sure to reserve a date and time in your designated “common” area where you’ll find a lot of foot traffic – breaks in between classes or lunch time are great opportunities!

Coins

PENNY FUNDRAISING DRIVE

Have a friendly competition of penny wars teaming up with a different organization or department at your job to gather pocket change. One point is received for every penny donation, but there’s a twist to it – people can add coins besides pennies to get points taken away, while raising more money!

PROCEEDS NIGHT AT A FAVORITE RESTAURANT

Many restaurants host fundraisers for companies or student organizations where
10-20% of total sales goes back to the organization. Find a restaurant or coffee shop you visit often with your friends or colleagues – having a built rapport with the staff and managements makes the “ask” that much easier!

MARKET YOUR SKILLS AND TALENTS

Your members or colleagues are talented with unique skill sets so charge people for services, whether it’s for headshots, designing logos, or building resumes. Charge a fixed fee and get the word out (social media & flyers) that your organization / company is providing their talents and skills to raise money for a non-profit.

Car wash

CAR WASH

A popular way to raise money is at a car wash and the best option is to find a commercial place with a large parking lot that has access to running water. Once you get permission from the main office to host this fundraiser, pick a date and time; now, it’s time to promote the event!

Happy fundraising! Have questions or want to share other creative ideas with us? Please email us at info@koom.org.
